You can see the game here starting at the 5:04 mark.
Coach Marcaletti noted that the team is playing by FIBA international rules with a different-sized ball and a 24-second shot clock that resets to 15 seconds on rebound. Coaches can't call time outs during play. Following the first game, fans took photos with the SI players. Between 600 and 800 fans packed the gym to watch the game.

The experience of submerging ourselves in a new city half way across the world while eating their food, attempting to speak their language will give our players an opportunity to understand first-hand a culture very different from their own."

In addition to Marcaletti, six other adults will accompany the 15 students including SI Chinese teacher Irene Wong, Mrs. Marcaletti, Coach Alejandro Thomas, Coach Jamal Baugh, Coach Mack and Coach Murray.
